Introduction to the App Store and the Google Play Store

In our previous lesson we introduced you to some apps that you can download to your device. Now we want to discuss where you need to go to download them. During this lesson we are going to introduce you to the App Store for Apple devices and the Google Play Store for Android devices. Let’s take a look!

The App Store

The App Store is exactly how it sounds. It is a digital store where you can go to find millions and millions of apps to download and purchase for your iPad, iPhone, iMac or MacBook. It is a preloaded app that comes on all Apple devices so you don’t have to worry about downloading it. Below is a photo of what the App Store icon looks like. This is what you will tap on any time you would like to download a new app to your device.
