Introduction to Pro Tips for Apple Devices

Hi there! Welcome to the Pro Tips for Apple Devices course. My name is Paul, and I will be taking you through this course to learn all about different tips and tricks for using your Apple Device. Before you get started, read through this quick introduction.

If you own an Apple device, you have probably noticed that they are designed a little differently than other devices. That is why we want to show you some cool tricks when using an iMac, MacBook, iPad and iPhone. During this course we will show you how to use your Magic Mouse, an Apple keyboard, a trackpad, and how to use your iPad and iPhone to complete easy tasks while introducing you to some hidden features that you may not know about. And if you don’t yet own one of these devices but are interested in them, we have got you covered! We will briefly introduce each device and explain what it is and what it is used for.

Are you ready to get started? I sure am. But first, let’s take a look at some key technology terms. These are terms that may come up throughout the course.

Key Technology Terms

  • iMac: personal computer designed by the company Apple that comes with a screen, a keyboard and a computer mouse.
  • iPhone: smartphone created by the company Apple that can be used to take pictures, play music, and browse the internet. iPhones all come with touchscreen capabilities.
  • iPad: tablet created by the company Apple.
  • MacOS: Operating system that is used on Mac computers such as iMac and MacBook.
  • iOS: Operating system that is used on iPhone.
  • iPadOS: Operating system that is used on iPad.
  • Magic Mouse: computer mouse created by the company Apple that comes with iMacs or can be bought separately.
  • Magic Keyboard: computer keyboard created by the company Apple that comes with iMacs or can be bought separately.
