How to start a Google Duo call

Step 1: Locate and tap on the Google Duo app icon on the home screen of your tablet. Remember: Google Duo does not come preinstalled so you will have to download it from the Google Play Store if you haven’t already!

Step 2: Tap on the button in the lower right corner titled New Call.

Step 3: Type in the contact’s name or phone number that you would like to call by tapping on the keyboard icon in the top right corner. The on-screen keyboard will automatically appear.

Step 4: Once you type in your contact’s information, tap on Video Call to start the call. When the recipient answers the call you will be able to see them on the screen and start your conversation.

Helpful Hint

• During a call, hold the device about 12 inches from your face and at eye level. This will allow the person on the other end to see you better.
